Course Overview

Civil Train are offering these two units, delivered over two days at the CCF WA/Civil Train Skills Centre in Jandakot.

  • BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems

This course covers the contribution to WHS risk management in the workplace, which includes the processes for identifying work health and safety (WHS) hazards and assessing and controlling the risk relating to those identified hazards and the implementation of a plan for a work health and safety management system (WHSMS).

Course Outcomes

On completion of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify and interpret information and data about WHS requirements and apply them to the selection and application of techniques, tools and processes for hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
  • Contribute to documenting processes
  • Communicate with required people about WHS requirements and compliance
  • Comply with WHS requirements for hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control activities
  • Identify WHS duty holders and their duties
  • Plan the implementation of a work health and safety management system (WHSMS) that incorporates return-to-work and injury management procedures, and other key relevant WHSMS elements
  • Implement the WHSMS plan and review its effectiveness

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment.

    Course Duration

    This course is two days (16 hours).

    Entry Requirements

    All learners must be 16 years or older and will be required to provide photographic identification upon arriving for their course.

    As part of your course enrolment at Civil Train there is a requirement that you complete a short online quiz. This will assist Civil Train to understand your current levels of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN), to ensure you are at the appropriate level to successfully complete your selected training course. This is a one-time quiz and results will be saved to your learner file and referred to for all future enrolments.

    Please note: Civil Train only carries out assessments in English.  If English is your second language, you may engage a professional (accredited) and independent translator at your cost, for training purposes only.  However, you will be required to undertake the assessment in English without the aid of your translator.

    Delivery & Assessment

    This course is delivered face to face at our Jandakot premises. You will need to bring a laptop or tablet along to the training as the theoretical assessment is undertaken through our
    online Learning Management System. Practical assessments will be completed through project work completed in the workplace.

    Public courses are scheduled frequently in Perth – 70 Verde Drive, Jandakot.
